LE ULTIME PAROLE DI ANGEL E BUFFY.
Buffy era pronta a trafiggere Angelus con la spada, quando il vampiro, a terra, si sentì strano.
A- Buffy, cos'è successo? Dove siamo? Non mi ricordo.
B- Angel.
A- Sei ferita. Oh, Buffy, Dio, mi sento come se non ti avessi visto da mesi, sono confuso, io.. Buffy. Cos'è successo?
B- Sshh, non preoccuparti.
Lei gli accarezza il viso e poi i due iniziano a baciarsi appassionatamente.
Intanto dietro di loro il vortice è sempre più grande.
Buffy interrompe il bacio e guarda Angel negli occhi.
Lui le fa un piccolo e dolce sorriso.

Angel obbedì.
Lei cercò a fatica di non iniziare a piangere e lo baciò un'altra volta.
Poi fece un passo indietro e infine trafisse Angel con la spada.
Il vampiro spalancò gli occhi e guardò la donna che amava.
A- Buffy!
Angel venne risucchiato dal vortice di Acathla e Buffy fissò per un lungo momento la statua di pietra, poi si rese conto di ciò che aveva appena fatto, ciò che aveva perso.
Ed iniziò a piangere.
